How to explain things real good

In her talk at Stanford, Nicky Case explains really good how you can explain things ... really good! The principles are broadly applicable and so worth to always keep in mind.

  • It’s easy to forget to “show what made you care” even though it is relevant to others and can create an important motivation to keep paying attention.
  • I personally need to remind myself of "show then tell" as I tend to naturally just talk about things ;)
  • The "therefore & but" cycles are a great concept to sneakily upgrade a normal message into storytelling.

The video is edited in such a simple but captivating way, which makes the full talk even more fun to watch. I have deep respect for Nicky who doesn’t strike me as natural extrovert but puts herself out publicly bravely and effectively. Chapeau!
